TVS Apache RR 310 New Variant Launched; Dhoni Becomes First Owner

TVS Apache RR 310 has added a new variant in its range; priced at ₹2.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), this variant costs an extra ₹3,000 as compared to the regular RR 310. It comes equipped with Race Tuned (RT) slipper clutch and a new paint scheme -- Phantom black.  Apart from this, the new model of TVS Motor's flagship bike features no other changes. Available at select dealerships across the country, the TVS Apache RR 310 RT slipper clutch variant has found its first owner in Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He owns it in the Racing Red colour.

We also want to expand this experience to our existing TVS Apache RR 310 customers, who will appreciate the enhanced racing dynamics. The new styling upgrades accentuate the racing stance of the motorcycle and create customer delight."

Besides the addition of new colour option to the existing Racing Red paint scheme, the TVS Apache RR 310's new variant looks same as the standard model of the bike. So, it retains the fully-faired silhouette and gets sharp styling with a mass-forward stance. The bike also draws power from the 312.2 cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers 33.52 bhp and 27.3 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox albeit with slipper clutch, which should make for quick upshift and down shifts for a more spirited ride. This slipper clutch is also available as an accessory and can also be retro-fitted on older TVS Apache RR 310 bikes.

In terms of features, this bike gets a vertically laid-out widescreen digital instrument cluster which, apart from necessary readouts like speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, also includes a lap timer, race diagnostics system, speed recorder, and launch time recorder. The new variant, just like its regular sibling, also gets dual-channel ABS for enhanced rider safety.
