Yamaha India to Launch Updated Version of R15 V1

It is very articulate that Yamaha is the only brand which has the second largest market in the India. The firm has done a very good job by capturing the requirements of the audience. Furthermore, the company has a flagship model Yamaha R15 was premiered back in 2009, and after then in 2012, the company has introduced the updated version of quarter-liter motorcycle named, R15 version 2.0, that was the most powerful than its outgoing version. Moreover, the motorcycle has been rewarded many times by its outstanding performance and agitated look. Now, the firm seems busy to give some makeover in the respect of technical specification and livery.

It is been three years, the company has not made any changes in version 2.0, we really knew that something is definitely cooking inside the company as the company is gearing up by introducing the new version of R15 version 1, named R15-S that will be sited beside its current running version. The R15-S will be launched in the country during the festive season in the Indian two-wheeler market. In addition to the updates, the firm has confirmed that the R15-S will be carrying the same price tag as the current version. However, the new version will be featured with better performance and improved design and body cues. It will also carry a host of dynamic upgrades that will make it more piratical than the outgoing version.

In terms of design and look, the new version gets a conventional tail unit, grab rails and single unit seat that look quite magnificent then the irritating second floor pillion seat. Furthermore, the updated model comes loaded with an array of dynamic features, carrying standard brakes, aluminum swingarm and broad tyres. The fuel tank and front fairing will remain the same with its two headlamps.

The firm has also confirmed that the new R15-S will be featured with same engine unit as the current version with a few tweaks. The Yamaha version 2.0 is powered by the liquid-cooled, four-stroke and four valve motor, carrying an engine displacement of 149.8cc that returns 17 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 15 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM. The engine is mated to a six speed transmission. Moreover, the new version will get the same front telescopic suspension and rear linked type monocross suspension.
