I thought about it and decided to do 拍单. It seems like the job is more flexible – I can do anytime I want – and while my senior recommended me to do recruitment, I didn't like the idea of having to talk/answer to people constantly.
The following post will be written in the following manner:

I was told go download QQ, a china messenger app. From there, I was given my teacher's qq account number who will teach me on my job.
The training course took about an hour or slightly lesser?
Basically it begins with some rules, like replying 1 means "yes, I understand, correct" while 2 means "no, don't geddit, wrong".
That was the beginning of my convo with my teacher. I was thinking wa so cool nickname siol~ I thought damn long wtf hahahah.
Then she sent me some files that contains the steps on how to 拍单 (first step was on the 1/2 code lol). I was told to read them first before she start the proper teaching.

I totally dunno what is going on when I read the files…
Basically the host will give you a screenshot of the product, the keywords to search (e.g. Female orgasm lubricant (lol no joke that's like the first job I received and I was like wtf)), the shop name (e.g. X), and specific instructions.
You cannot search the shop name. You have to search the keyword, find the item from shop X, enter. Then do the instructions as give by the host, such as:
– stay that page for 5 min and scroll from top to bottom
– leave the page and click on other products by other people. Stay for 1 minute
– go back to the item from shop X, add to your favourites
– favourite shop X and 2 other products they sell
Each instruction you fulfil, you will have to screenshot and send to the host.
When I started training with my teacher, she sent me a screenshot and guided me through step by step.
Like, stay at shop for 5 min then send me the screenshot.
So I waited for 5 min, sent then, and follow the next step she instructed.

Explaining how the payment works. Which I really don't quite understand fully coz I've never used Alipay and those mechanism.
After that I was told to send her my particulars: real name, IC no, current address and handphone number.
I was assured that it will be safe and for recording purposes.
Then I have to send her my identification with a slip of paper that says her name (末央) + 培训, front and back.
I've mosaic my particulars here but i didn't when I send it to her.
Next I have to go to wechat, send my location, screenshot and send to her.
Lastly I have to download another app all ISpeak or something.
IS is like an app… that's like a whole new world~~~

I was given 3 channels to follow. This channel here 3990 is where you can find orders.
(Um I have deleted all these apps coz I don't wanna do 拍单 now and I took some screenshots today just to show you guys before I deleted it. I shouldn't have deleted so fast on hindsight haha)
My training ended with even more files to read that contains tutorial on taking orders from other platform. Like how we have zalora, lazada, amazon… in china there are taobao, 京都，拼多多 etc. Each has their own methods to work and the general set of instructions are similar.
Then, I started working and trying to get my orders.

This part is a mixture of opinion and facts. THIS JOB ISNT AS EASY AS ABC!!!!!
Firstly, in that 3990 channel where you get orders, the words all jump super fast and you have to quickly click on it. When you enter, there's multiple steps you have to do etc. You have to add the 主持 as your friend and then he will send you the orders to do.
On paper it sounds very straightforward but in reality it's a total mess for newbies.
I was superrrrrr frustrated so fucking annoying!! Because the 主持 will also talk to you in Chinese and all the slangs (like how when we type/speak singlish to foreigners they will be like wtf) and I had to ask my teacher but she's quite unresponsive.
The host will also send you money via 支付宝 or wechat pay wallet. For example if the item costs $15, she will transfer you $17 so after paying off, the remaining $2 is your pay.
But my teacher didn't tell me about this at all!!!! I had to scramble to faster set up my accounts, and the hosts are all damn impatient, like to them it's about sending a qr code but to me, it means I have to download the app, create an account, link my debit card etc. Urgh!
After buying the item, you have to wait to "receive" it and then leave a good review.
Of course, the address, receiver's name and contact no will all be provided for. You don't have to pay money too.
BUT!!!
On IS, there are many scammers. Some will ask you to send them money, or send your confidential details… some orders can only be done in china and not overseas blah blah blah.

Knowing this wouldn't work out anymore in the long run coz I will be busy with school once holiday ends, I decided to ask my senior about recruitment position.

At the same time when I asked my senior about the position, the 老大 of this group (his display name is what 侏罗纪的海) asked in the big group chat (the 493 people whereby all the newbies were complaining) whoever wants to join recruitment and add him as friend, and he will introduce the teacher to her.
I was pulled into a new group chat, following my teacher called 万恩. The group has 26 of us including the big boss, 万恩 and another teacher called 大王主管. This is the basic group and all of us just started too.
We were told that this will be a 7 day course, we will have assignments to do everyday and people who don't fulfil or don't put in effort will be kicked off.
Warning: the following content is kinda confidential but also kinda disgusting.
Assignment for Day 1:
1. Change your display pic to a real person's face. If you feel your photo is not good looking, 百度校花校草's pic and use theirs. Having a attractive face will gain people's attention.
2. Change your wechat chat wallpaper to one with a plain background and put your watermark on it. You can download the app called 【微商水印相机】to create your own watermark.

This was when I felt a little uncomfortable.
I never believe in 炫富. It's damn gross… and money is already so hard to earn, it's meant to be cherished and not to show off like it falls from the sky. But ok those are just examples but I can choose to do layouts like the first few. So I did mine as follows

Day 2's assignment.
It's all about creating your 朋友圈 (like newsfeed) and build up your network.
1. Change your display name to something like these:
2. You have to post 6-8 posts a day.
The content as follows:
• first one is a good morning post with motivational and positive quotes. If you don't know any, you can just 百度励志语录
• second one is called 发工资照. You show screenshots of your pay. Because you just started, it's only normal you don't have any pay. What u can do is to transfer money to yourself from one account to another and take photo, or forge it using an eye opening app called 马欢截图.
• third post is called 反馈图. In our big ass group chat, occasionally people will send their feedback on how much they have earned blah blah blah. You can screenshot and post it on your newsfeed to show others how much your group members have made.
• fourth post is similar to the third, except it's a private convo whereby your client feedback to you how much they have made, such as the one whereby the mum bought shoes for her son, or the one who bought a pandora with her pay.
• fifth post is called 鸡汤或者你的生活一条. Basically it cannot be related to your part time job at all.
• sixth post is on 新会员入会图. This is when you post the new member who just joined as well as the screenshots/photo of their bank transfer. It will be best to attach your screenshot convo with the client too. Also, try to post as many 神级 ($126) members as possible because when others see so many ppl joined 神级, they will be inclined to do so too.

I've only been using the 微信对话 so far. You can create individual convos or group chats.
Next, you choose all the settings, like your phone (even got iPhone 6,7 etc), signal bar, service provider, battery level so on and so forth.
Next,
You create the robots you are talking to. Here's my list of "clients" lol.
U can add a new contact. If u don't know what name or dp to choose, u can let them pick for you randomly as seen here.
When I saw this, I was like WTFWTFWTFWTFWTF. All the dp are damn real! They're not like models or celebrities kind. They're real life pics that u and I use, like mum and son, a wefie etc.
This is why I immediately changed my dp to a celeb (Fiona Fussi if you can't tell by now haha) and upload it to the app so my own photo won't be abused.
Then you create your convos. Besides words, you can select time, date, "xxx has joined the group", photos, videos, voice recording (including read function), ang paos etc etc. Everything single detail!!!
Lastly, you review your pic. You can scroll the "convo" and see which screenshot fits best.

Honestly yes. I earn $72 for every $126 member I pull in. Good money isn't it?
I rationalised to myself that hey, $126 isn't thaaaat big a sum ma. I'm just advertising to people methods to earn more money.
But the bf told me off immediately, "it may not mean that much to you, but those who turn to you in hopes of making more money, it may mean a lot to them!"
Can I shamelessly say that I'm so proud of my bf for slapping me awake. He's a sales staff in a local bank and he really does have the heart for his clients, not the type who sees you only have $10k and ask you to lock $9.9k in the bank for 10 years. That's why sadly his sales performance is not excellent but I do believe his principles will bring him far.

Ya sorry but not sorry I stalked your profiles a lil and many of you guys are also youths, probably students, who're looking for money making opportunities.
Some are mums and I know how much this extra cash can make a difference to the family.
$126 may mean "nothing" (I still feel the pinch la wtf) to me, but it could mean a month's worth of pocket money to a poor student, or at least one can of formula for a mum.
This was why I decided to play along the game and do the daily tasks, to see what new patterns they have.
We're all so vulnerable in one way or another and it's so easy to fall into such traps.
The more I learn about them, perhaps the more I can share with you guys so y'all can be more wary.

I have no exact answers or verifications to your questions since it seems to me no one can be trusted in this entire scheme. I haven't done deep research so based on what I know, infer and assume…
This scheme works more like a network than a company organisation. I suppose they are from China since most people there speak Chinese and the communication channels are all China apps.
How can we be assured it's not a "scam"?
Sorry I can't assure you. It's my words against theirs. And truth is, I don't even know who is "theirs".
This platform is controlled by humans, but I don't even know who are they exactly, the real names, their face, and even the people they "conversed" with are fictional characters made from their imagination.
The number of hours you have to commit doesn't really matter. There's no minimum hours as long as you have results. Like I took entire morning to earn 80cents, but someone else may only take 3 hours to earn $72. It's all how you see you.
If you're not comfortable with recruiting people like how I'm feeling right now, you won't be forced. Don't worry. There are other positions for you. Now I also learnt that this platform's revenue is mainly from 拍单 and that's what most ppl do. 熟能生巧, i admit it's difficult for first timers but maybe…. it will get easier with time.
Remember, no one is forcing you and no one can force you.

For training, I guess it differs from role to role. My training for 拍单 took nearly an hour of messaging with my teacher while my recruitment training takes 7 days (which then again, it's just like one at a time throughout the day instead of a whole 24 hours straight).
Yes, you can take up more than a role, and you can even do the multiple roles concurrently too.
Membership fee is one time off, but if u wanna upgrade from one to another, you have to pay the full price again instead of topping up.
I have to say though, one thing good about this platform is how they keep emphasising that you don't have to pay anything after membership fee. If someone asks you to do so, it's a scam and don't transfer them money. So it's good they keep highlighting this as well as provide tips on spotting for these cheaters.

I don't know how is the workload distributed like for every role. For 拍单, you go to the IS app and the host will keep posting there. Fastest fingers first I guess?
For recruitment, you source for your own contacts through platforms like wechat, Facebook, carousell, IG or even dayre maybe? Hahaha.
Job flow does seem to be continuous for the 拍单 position. Though the brief I received said it's from 8am till midnight but yeah… I gave up after a morning hahahah.
I didn't know if someone got punished. I just feel like the internet world is so big, china has such a huge population, my self-consolation is that even if they catch someone, I – a small insignificant and poor fly – definitely won't be the first target hahahaha.
Why am I doing this exposé?
I entered this club willingly, in fact too willingly so much so that I was blinded by a lot of things.
I entered because I saw how attractive all those posts my senior had posted seemed.
Now, I learnt that they may be fake, but people will fall for them like I did thinking that money is really so easy to make.
I don't feel comfortable to take people's trust when I know clearly all they saw was a lie I fabricated.
Maybe eventually, if I didn't come clean and continue on with this, I will be able to screenshot real convos. I will be able to earn the money. Just like maybe you will be able to earn so much too!

With everything that can be faked, you can't tell if you can really earn that much. Maybe there are people working hard to keep this platform going, and make sure everyone is well paid.
From some of the experienced members' newsfeed, I saw how the platform will reward them occasionally too with goodies and lucky draw and what not.
If you are willing to take the risk, then go ahead. You do you.
I just don't want people to enter blindly like that I did thinking they can 一步登天, earn $100 a day immediately upon joining without knowing what they are putting themselves through.
Worse, I had so many conflicting inner struggles and sleepless nights to debate whether is this worth doing for good for ethical reasons.

所以电影的寓言是：网路上看到的都不是真实的。拿着手机滑朋友圈羡慕他们的生活、桌布和葬礼，倒不如看看荧幕后捧着手机的双手。不靠自己双手努力怎么可以得到收获呢？如果世上真有此事，那请再次看看那双手，举起来打醒自己不要发白日梦了科科。
