Joelle, Eden, and Kara
Joelle Rosky
Joelle Rosky is the EPICC Project Coordinator. She is from Connellsville, PA where she also attended high school. She obtained her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State Fayette. Joelle is passionate about providing the youth and families in her hometown with education and tools they can use to lead healthy and substance-free lives.
In her free time, Joelle enjoys spending time with her friends and family and traveling. One of her favorite quotes is “We must become the change we want to see.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Eden Koldys
Eden Koldys is the Assistant Project Coordinator for the Epicc project. She is from Smithfield, PA where she attended Albert Gallatin Area High School. She also obtained her B.A. in Human Services with minors in Psychology and Counseling from Waynebsurg University.
Eden has a passion for the prevention of substance use and abuse in the community, especially when it comes to youth. She is a firm believer in evidence-based education that gives youth in the community the tools and resources to live long, happy and healthy lives.
In her free time, Eden enjoys music, movies and spending time with her friends, family and pets. Eden’s favorite quote she has always enjoyed sharing with others is, “Just because you hit bottom doesn’t mean you have to stay there.”-Robert Downey Jr.
Her goal within this position is to help prevent the use of drugs and alcohol among the youth and families in the Connellsville Community.
Kara Popson
Kara Popson is the Operations Specialist for the EPICC project. She is from Uniontown, PA where she attended Laurel Highlands High School. She then obtained a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in criminal justice from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Kara always knew that she had a passion for helping others and wanted to make a difference in the community. Working on the EPICC project has allowed her to provide youth and their families with the opportunity to learn about the resources available within their community to prevent substance abuse.
In her free time, Kara loves spending time with her husky, Zeus, friends and family. She also enjoys scrolling on TikTok, watching movies and listening to music.
Her main goal within this position is to continue implementing new projects based on the needs of the local youth and their families.
Lee Winterhalter
Lee Winterhalter is the Fayette County Drug and Alcohol Prevention Supervisor overseeing the EPICC project. Lee is a native to Fayette County and has worked in the prevention unit at Fayette County Drug and Alcohol Commission since April of 2017. He received his M. Ed from West Virginia University. Through his work with Communities that Care of Fayette County, Lee has developed a strong sense of devotion to prevention of youth problem behaviors and community level change. In 2019, Lee became a father and this pushed him even further to ensure that youth in our county have the protection then need to succeed and a reduced level of risk weakening the likelihood of problem behaviors developing.
