Es una de las canciones m谩s emblem谩ticas de los 70. Su pegajosa melod铆a, su letra melanc贸lica, as铆 como la interpretaci贸n de Terry Jacks la hicieron un hit que a煤n se sigue escuchando en estaciones de radio dedicadas a los 茅xitos del pasado y en listas de reproducci贸n de servicios como Spotyfi o Amazon Music.
El canadiense hab铆a pasado varios a帽os tratando de triunfar en el espect谩culo por medio de la incursi贸n en varios grupos, haciendo un dueto con una cantante Susan Pesklevits que se convirti贸 en su esposa y con la cual despu茅s conform贸 el grupo Poppy Family a lado de varios amigos.
La reciente separaci贸n del grupo en 1972, y la b煤squeda en solitario de la fama por parte de 茅l y su mujer hicieron que el m煤sico buscara otras formas de ganarse la vida, por lo que prepar贸 varias canciones, dentro de ellas “Seasons of the Sun”, la cual fue grabada por el conjunto formado por Mike Love, Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Al Jardine y Dennis Wilson.
